Pemphigus Vulgari Facts and Treatment
The pemphigus vulgaris is an autoimmune skin disease characterized by blisters in the skin and mucous membranes. Pemphigus is an autoimmune disorder that causes blisters and sores in the rough on the skin and mucous membranes. As with other autoimmune disorders, which occurs when the body’s defenses mistake their own tissues as foreign and attack the cells. It is the most common subtype of pemphigus, which represents 70% of all pemphigus cases worldwide. PV is rare - between one and five people in a million each year develop PV in the UK. Most cases develop in people older than 50 years. It is very rare in children. Men and women are equally affected. It is more common in certain racial groups.
Pemphigus has several types. Each type looks and acts differently. There are other autoimmune diseases blistering of the skin, such as bullous pemphigoid, Bullosa lupus, and Hailey-Hailey disease can be confused with pemphigus.
Causes
The pemphigus vulgaris is an autoimmune disease that usually causes blisters. This disease is not contagious which is not transferable by touch. The disease can result from reactions to medications, but this rarely happens.

Diagnosis
The diagnosis is basa in microscopic examination of samples of skin lesion. A biopsy of a suspected injury is a sample of the blisters the skin is removed and examined under a microscope to determine whether the cells are separated in a manner peculiar pemphigus. Unlike in the related pemphigoid, pemphigus manifests itself as intra-epithelial clefting within the meaning of the spinous crack epithelial cells, a phenomenon known as acantholysis.
Pemphigus Vulgari treatment
Treatment should always be prescribed on the basis of how serious a disease. There are reports showing that alternative, herbal or homeopathic treatments help. These are usually hurts because drugs that work was halted until the patient realizes they made a mistake.
Topical steroids
A steroid cream is sometimes used in skin blisters, in addition to other treatments. This can keep the dose of steroid tablets lower than would otherwise be necessary. Mouthwashes or steroid sprays are sometimes used to help treat mouth blisters and erosions.
Antiseptic cream
It can be advised if there are large areas of skin raw. This is to reduce the chance of infection.
